The food is overpriced, fish has a greasy batter on it, and the cabins are very overpriced for what they are, very dirty and old as hell!! Stay away!!!!!

- Laminate ceiling panel falling off

That night neither of us slept a wink. It probably didn't help that we needed to kill a dozen spiders in the bathroom and bedroom before retiring for the evening. Both of us grew up in very modest households, frequently camping and "roughing it", but this experience wasn't charming or rustic, it was filthy and neglected. We could go on but will simply list the following concerns:

- Spiders/cobwebs in the bathroom and bedroom

- Dirty comforter and decorative pillow covers

- Rusted porch door with a 2 inch gap practically inviting mosquitoes inside

- Splatter on the coffee pot

We decided to quickly leave the next morning, two days before our scheduled departure. As we headed into town to shake the cobwebs out of our hair, we went to a few local haunts to pick up breakfast and other knickknack items. While sharing our experience with locals, we learned that the owner has a reputation for taking money without providing clean or quality accommodations and that cabin guests would never return. Well, we are certainly among those who were dissatisfied and horrified.

Arrived on a Sunday night and stayed til Saturday, we had a group of 21 people, we stayed in the lodge, 13 people (5 adults, 8 kids) cabin 1 had family of 5 and cabin 2 had a family of 3. Lodge was cozy enough for us, and weather was great, we spent most of our time on the beach or water so we didn't require much for inside. Our kids had an amazing time. We rented a pontoon, rode the trails with our side by sides, fished, played games inside the bar and enjoyed the beach! Had the place to ourselves til Saturday when other guests and visitors arrived got too busy for our liking and left a night early. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We had access to the wifi also.

- Unclean and unstable toilet

- Window screens were ripped and duct taped

- Bath towel that smelled of mildew

- Numerous holes in the ceiling and walls plugged with tissues and rags

Cabins are filthy and neglected. We arrived to check into Cabin #2 and were greeted by two friendly women at the restaurant. We excitedly drove over to our cabin to unload after a long day of travel knowing that we had family members meeting us over at the resort for dinner. Upon walking in we were met with an incredibly moldy smell. I decided to open up every window and get it aired out. The windowsills were resting places for dead bugs and almost every screen had multiple holes covered by duct tape. While I was opening windows, my friend used the bathroom and exclaimed out loud as she nearly fell off the loosely mounted, slanted toilet. As we walked throughout the cabin, we noticed the floor was unstable and uneven in many places with a level change to the bedroom and a number of soft spots in the subfloor. It was unsettling.

Millionaire's view of Soo Lake, best fish fry with homemade fixings! Prime Rib dinner out of this world!

- Ceiling-wide chains, presumably holding up the side walls

- Uncomfortably old and flat pillows

- Horrible odor

- Dirty towels plugging gap around AC unit
